Dr. Matea Polisoto is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor specializing in nutrition and holistic medicine and received her doctorate in naturopathic medicine from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon, and her bachelor of science in biochemistry from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She has a diverse background and utilizes a wide variety of healing modalities from both Eastern and Western traditions.
In addition to her education, Dr. Matea has extensive experience in holistic medicine spanning over two decades. She has worked with many thought-leaders in holistic medicine including Doris Rapp, M.D., New York Times best-selling author and pioneer in the field of ecology and environmental medicine. Dr. Matea served as Director of the Allergy Program for Dr. Joseph Mercola at the Optimal Wellness Center in Schaumburg, IL. Dr. Matea also worked as the medical director for Robert Young, PhD, author of The pH Miracle, leading personal and group healing retreats.
In addition to her background in science and medicine, Dr. Matea has studied a wide variety of healing arts which she incorporates into her treatmetns – Native American healing, Reiki, sound healing, lymphatic bodywork, craniosacral therapy and intuitive counseling. Combining the best of both science and spirituality, Dr. Matea aims to improve, enhance and maintain the health of her patients by delivering the highest level of personalized patient care.
